Brief Solution Focused Therapy is an evidence-based, short-term and goal focused therapy that helps people find solutions rather than dwell on problems. This type of treatment helps people create realistic goals in order to make immediate changes and achieve long-term success.
Brief Solution Focused Therapy (BSFT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a third-wave behavioral therapy (and a form of CBT) that uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies to increase psychological flexibility and acceptance of the present. This modality helps people embrace their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting against them. It is evidence-based and is successful for treating mood and anxiety symptoms.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is an integrative therapeutic approach that has been proven effective for treatment of posttraumatic stress and acute stress disorders. EMDR works by reducing sensitivity to traumatic experiences and distressing feelings.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a shorter-term, goal oriented therapy that focuses on changing problematic patterns of thinking and behavior. CBT is evidence-based and is considered first-line treatment for many mood and anxiety disorders. Specific CBT modalities that I offer include: Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for insomnia (CBT-i), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).
